SCHOLARSHIP

While primary education is free in Kibera, secondary school is not. For the majority of the Binti Pamoja members, this fact makes secondary school an unlikely possibility.

To address this need, and to demonstrate Binti Pamoja's and CFK's commitment to formal education for young women in Kibera, a scholarship fund has been established. Binti Pamoja members who have been active for at least six months are eligible for awards that cover the majority their school fees. Recipients' families must agree to pay for the remainder, and to support their daughters' education and participation in Binti Pamoja.

While there are currently twenty-eight Binti Pamoja members attending secondary school through the scholarship fund, CFK is looking for additional sponsors and donations. For more information or to make a donation, please visit the Support CFK page.
