CFK US ADVISORY BOARD

Allison Kramer
Member, Advisory Board

Alison Kramer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001 with a BA in International Studies and minor in African Studies. She was an early member of CFK and has been a long-time volunteer.

As a freshman, Alison volunteered at a school for underprivileged youth in Zimbabwe, sparking her interest in African politics and CFK’s mission. After graduation, she worked for a child-sponsorship organization in the Dominican Republic. On her return to the United States, she served as communications director for Stop Hunger Now, where she helped set up an ongoing program to provide medical supplies to CFK.

Alison then served as public relations manager for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, where she coordinated hundreds of television, radio and print interviews and helped create a full-length documentary, “I’m a Stranger Here.” The documentary, which was about three food-bank recipients, won a gold ADDY award from the American Ad Federation.

Currently, Alison is Account Supervisor for 919 Marketing and volunteers for the North Carolina Domestic Violence Commission.
