CFK US ADVISORY BOARD

Esteban McMahan
Member, Advisory Board

Esteban McMahan received his BA in International Business from James Madison University in 1986, and in 1987 entered the US Army as a Lieutenant and served four years on active duty, first as a Medical Platoon Leader then as the Adjutant, for a Light Infantry Battalion. In 1991 he left the Army and returned to New York to work for Bear Stearns as a trader of international equities. In 1997 he moved to Chapel Hill, where he currently lives with his wife and two children, two German Shepherds, four cats and a horse, and works for a financial firm. After planning a vacation to Kenya in 2004, he heard about CFK from a friend, and was able to take over soccer supplies to Kibera, meet Salim, and become amazed by the scope of the program and by the incredible people involved in it.
