soccerThe CFK Youth Soccer Clinic
to benefit Carolina for Kibera’s Youth Soccer Program in Kibera, Kenya

Sunday, Dec. 13th, 2009  1-5 pm
Finley Fields, Chapel Hill, NC

  • Clinic will be lead by players from the UNC and U.S. National Soccer Teams.

  • Participants will learn valuable soccer skills as well as how CFK uses soccer to promote cross cultural understanding among youth in Kibera, the largest slum in East Africa.

  • Open to girls and boys of any skill level, ages 6-18.

  • Minimum $50 donation per participant, $25 per additional player in a family.

Run by Kenyans and advised by American volunteers, CFK fights abject poverty and promotes youth leadership and ethnic and gender cooperation in Kibera through sports, young women's empowerment, waste collection/recycling, educational scholarships, and a health clinic. CFK uses soccer to promote youth leadership, ethnic cooperation, and teach life skills to more than 4,000 youth in the slum of Kibera, Kenya.

*Current and former men’s and women’s UNC and U.S. National Team players will provide instruction; all players are subject to availability with regard to team commitments.
