Lilian Akoth
Laboratory Technologist

Lilian graduated in 2002 with a degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Kenya Polytechnic School.  She joined the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) in 2003 as a volunteer.  In 2004, Lilian became a laboratory technologist with the USAMRU (U.S. Army Medical Research Unit) where she worked for 3 years.  She then joined the CDC-KEMRI International Emerging Infections Program in Kibera in 2006.  Lilian works in the CFK Tabitha Clinic laboratory.  In her spare time, Lilian enjoys travel, reading, adventure and singing.  Lilian is married with two children.
