Medina joined CFK in 2005.  After completing high school in 1997, Medina went on to study at the Rare-Find College of Computers.  Upon graduation, she went to work as a receptionist at Jamia Mosque Committee in Nairobi.  Through her work, she became interested in hospitality management and received a diploma in that field from the International Schools of Correspondence (USA).
