SARAH WAITHERA is the newest addition to Binti Pamoja having joined in September of 2008. As a young adult Sarah attended Magenta Training Institute where she studied Mass Communication, specializing in video production and photography. Additionally, in 2005 Sarah pursued a diploma in community development and project management at Premise Africa Institute while working with the Kenyan Debt Relief Network. She spent 2007 laying the groundwork for a new foundation benefitting vulnerable children in Kisumu. Growing up in the Korogacho slum (Nairobi) with her single mother and three sisters helped prepare her to work with the Binti Pamoja girls. In Sarah’s free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
