NOTE TO SENIORS AT UNC: If you are interested in contributing to Carolina for Kibera as part of the Senior Campaign for Carolina, you must make your gift through the UNC's Development Office or online at https://s4.its.unc.edu/ALDevCPS/Type_Of_Gift.jsp.  Select "Global Education Center" as the University Designation and "Carolina for Kibera (5486)" as the University Fund.  Contributions made through PayPal on CFK's website will not count towards the Senior Campaign.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

PURCHASE YOUR COPY OF LIGHTBOX

LightBox is a powerful new book of photography and narratives by the young women of the Binti Pamoja Center.  100% of book proceeds benefit the Binti Pamoja Scholarship Fund.  Scholarships are awarded to girls and young women in Kibera to assist their families in covering school fees for high school.  Each scholarship requires $150 annually, and we are always in need of donors.

CFK ENDOWMENT FUND QUEST

CFK’s support from the Ford Foundation ends in 2008, and we must continue to seek new sources of income to maintain its stability.  CFK is on a quest to achieve financial sustainability by building an endowment fund to cover core operating costs indefinitely.  The endowment fund, once raised, will be managed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  The fund will fulfill CFK’s need for flexibility to determine and adjust its programming based on the needs, innovation, talent, and leadership within the community, fostering local buy-in and community leadership.
